Welcome.
Here at lemongrove we have our own chef who provides the children with a very healthy and varied diet. Our menus are produced termly so that we can use seasonal produce, and whenever possible we use produce that has been grown on our own allotment. We believe stronly in supporting local business, and to this end we use local farms such as Hayes for our fruit and vegetables. All our meals are made from scratch so we are always able to monitor the children salts and sugar in take. Making our meals from scratch also enables us to use appropriate ingredients to cater for all the needs of our children. Whether this is because of allergies, religion or the personal preferences of the parent. Meals are also adapted accordingly for the younger age group. We feel it is really important to include the parents and allow them to give ideas or make suggestions, so we have regular parent’s evenings where the parents are given the chance to visit the kitchen and meet our to the chef.
Throughout the day the children are provided with a breakfast lunch and tea. We also provide a mid-morning and afternoon snack.
To support our menus and our knowledge we use resources such as ‘full of beans’ which is produced by Bromley Council and Primary Health Care Trust. We are also proud to announce that for the second year running our kitchen was awarded a 4 star rating, by Bromley Environmental Health.
