Well done to all

From small acorns!

The children have done great things with the Nursery Allotment, and have started to harvest there summer crops, we have new potatoes, gorgeous onions, carrots, beetroot, and still to come leeks, beans and marrow, all of which the children can take home with them. They have loved this experience and we look forward to preparing for the winter crop.

The staff at Lemongrove Nursery decided to participate in ‘Race for Life’ this year at Blackheath on the 4th July. We did this to raise money for cancer research. This is something that has affected each and every one of us in one way or another with our loved ones, so we are really pleased that we have been able to do something to raise money for this charity.

To coincide with this and to involve all our children and their parents we decided to organise a sponsored toddle around Normans Park. We did this on Wednesday 21st July 2010 at 10am. The children and staff really enjoyed the event and we were delighted with the support and involvement we received from everyone.

The children were so excited to arrive back to nursery and receive their very own medal which they wore with pride all day.

We are really pleased to announce that through both ‘Race for life’ and the ‘Sponsored Toddle’ we have raised over £1000 for Cancer Research. We would like to say very big thanks to all our parents and sponsors.
