Job Title Deputy Childcare Manager
Key Responsibilities of the role:
To support the Childcare Manager to lead and be responsible for the day to day care and educational provision of the children attending the nursery. To ensure all children, their parents and staff have equal opportunities within the nursery.
To deputise for the Childcare Manager in their absence.
As directed by the Childcare Manager, to set targets, measure and track the nursery’s development with the goal of being an Ofsted ‘Outstanding’ provision. To support the staff team to ensure this target is met at the next Ofsted inspection.
To be an accessible point of contact for the parents, children & staff of the nursery during Nursery operational hours.
To help to develop, implement and promote the Nursery’s policies and procedures.
To have a thorough working knowledge of Parent Zone & I-Connect systems.
To manage own time to complete tasks effectively, prioritising workload and if needed to delegate tasks. Monitor & evaluate the progress of delegated tasks, providing staff with constructive feedback.
To support the Childcare Manager to maintain all records necessary for the day to day running of the nursery.
To have good working knowledge of, and to be able to uphold GDPR requirements in the nursery.
Working with the Childcare Manager ensure that the physical environment of the building, garden & equipment is well maintained to comply with the requirements of the Health & Safety at Work Act.
To monitor the quality of the provision, to ensure that the best practices & standards are maintained.
To experience recruitment of staff and resource planning.
To be a key holder and a contact for out of hours emergencies on a rota basis with Directors.
To liaise closely with the Business Manager to develop the brand of the nursery

Salary: £24,720.00 to £27,500.00
Hours: 40 hours, Monday to Friday shifts from 7.45 am – 5 pm and 9 am to 6.15 pm.
