Deputy Childcare Manager
Hi! My name is Ceri-May, I am the Deputy Manager at Lemongrove Nursery.
I began my Lemongrove career back in 2014 after returning to the UK from a missionary project in Argentina, where I was volunteering in a children’s orphanage ‘Hogar el Alba’.
When starting at Lemongrove I worked mainly in the Toddler/ Honeybees room. I am grateful for the opportunities I have been provided that helped me to grow and develop professionally, first as a senior practitioner and then as acting room leader.
I Spent time as the safeguarding officer for Lemongrove, which is what led me on to pursue a job opportunity within Bromley Children’s safeguarding and social care. I spent 4 years working with vulnerable young people who were exposed to exploitation. Working directly with children and their families to help bring about positive change in their day to day.
I have recently returned to work with the Lemongrove family, and I am so excited to be working along side an amazing team of people and an amazing bunch of little ones. I have a real passion for working with Early years, watching children grow, develop, and learn new things that will shape the rest of their lives.
I love messy play and will always encourage children to try new things. I aim to make each day different and exciting.
I have a passion for working with children and families and strive to gain an understanding of your unique family life, to help create a home away for home where children can be their true selves, feel comfortable and be confident to grow ask questions and learn.
