Room Leader for Honey Bees
My name is Chloe Kelly, and I am the Room Leader of our Honeybees Toddler Room. I joined the Lemongrove Family in July 2017. When I started, I had my NVQ level 2. I had gained this qualification at my previous nursery where I started as an apprentice and worked my way up however, after a year and a half it was time for me to explore another early year’s setting. This is where my Lemongrove journey began. I found it a happy, calm, and inviting place to work, and I continue to think the same four years on! During my time here I have been given many great opportunities, I studied and completed my NVQ level 3 in 2019. I was also given the opportunity to become ‘Acting Senior’ for the Honeybees Room whilst the senior practitioner was on maternity leave. Following this I have now been given an even bigger opportunity which is taking on the responsibility of Room Leader in our Honeybees room.
My vision for the toddler room is for each individual to be able to explore freely and have access to every area of learning. It is of paramount importance for staff, parents, and children to have a positive relationship and partnership to aid learning and support development. Children have choices and are actively involved in decision making, encouraging every child to have a voice.
